Lightness?
After suffering clutch slip uphill and Triumph gear grind trying to select first gear while stationary it was time to attack the clutch. Perusing the catalogues on line a shiny billet alloy clutch pressure plate catches my eye! Lightweight they say. It arrives and curiosity grabs me. Out with the digital scales hmmmmmmmmm
The original ( but ugly ) cover weighs 191 grams. The beautiful ( and carefully buffed and polished by me ) cover weighs 200grams. A weight saving of -9 grams!! My wallet certainly feels lighter
Oh well maybe the stainless steel clutch spring kit will lighten the rotating mass.
Stock set 109.2grams.. SS set 127.1 grams. Yes it has cost me approximately $150 to gain 26 grams.
But I am secure in the knowledge that the eventually invisible modifications will bring me fame and glory
